The football sun rises from Morocco.. “Atlas Lions” champions of the Youth World Cup

The Moroccan youth national team inscribed its name in golden letters in the world football register, after it won the U-20 World Cup title in Chile on Monday morning, following its historic 2-0 victory over Argentina in the final match, becoming the first Arab team to ascend the throne of this tournament.
The “Atlas Lions” presented an impressive display against the Argentine giant, combining defensive solidity and offensive effectiveness, as the star Yasser Zaberi was the main difference by scoring the two goals of the match in the 12th and 29th minutes, taking advantage of precise passes and organized counterattacks that confused the opponent’s defense.
The smart tactical mentality of coach Mohamed Wehbe emerged, who has led the team steadily since the start of the tournament, relying on a disciplined collective defensive system and quick offensive transitions, which made Morocco the most balanced team in the tournament.
Wehbe showed a great ability to read matches and utilize the energies of his players in the best way, embodying the model of the modern Moroccan coach capable of competing at the highest levels.
The young Moroccan team eliminated strong teams like Spain, Brazil and France, which gave the achievement a special taste and confirmed the Arab team’s right to the world title.
The fighting spirit and great commitment of the players also emerged in the tournament in general, stressing that their success was not a coincidence, but rather the result of technical work and careful planning within the Mohammed VI Football Academy.
Brilliant names shone in the Moroccan ranks, most notably: Ibrahim Gomez in goalkeeping, Ali Muammar, Ismail Baouf, Naim Biar, Othman Maama, Houssem Sadiq, Fouad Zahouani, Yassine Jassim, Yassine Khelifi, Ismail Bakhti, and Yassine Zaberi.
With this historic achievement, Morocco continued to consolidate its position as a rising power in the world of football, after a series of successes at the national team level, starting with the brilliance of the first team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, all the way to this world title that opened a bright new page in the Moroccan football journey.
