Al-Ahly shuts down rumors of an Ibrahima Miley deal

The journalist Ahmed Schubert denied what was reported during the last hours about Al-Ahly club entering into negotiations with Pyramids player Ibrahima Maile in exchange for imaginary financial figures that reached 200 million pounds annually, stressing that this news has nothing to do with the truth.

Schubert said, on his radio program on “On Sport FM,” this Monday morning, that what is being raised about Al-Ahly making an offer worth $3 million annually and rejecting the player because he is asking for $4 million is just a baseless rumor.

He added, asking: “Is it logical for Al-Ahly to agree to give any player $4 million per season?”, pointing out that the club’s financial policies depend on discipline and balance, and cannot be carried away by such exaggerated numbers.

Schubert stressed the need to be careful before circulating such news, stressing that the aim of broadcasting it was to create confusion among the fans of the Red Castle at a sensitive time of the season.

He concluded his statements by emphasizing that Al-Ahly’s management always puts the club’s interest above any consideration, and will not enter into any negotiations that violate its financial policy or harm the team’s stability.
