The workshop was moderated by Ms. Louise Auckland, a popular teacher trainer, researcher and speaker affiliated with the University of Oxford. Ms. Oakland provided valuable insights into the science of neuroplasticity, which explains the brain’s ongoing ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections.

During the session, participants explored how neuroplasticity can contribute to the development of effective teaching strategies that promote deep learning, adaptability, and long-term information retention in students. Ms. Oakland stressed the importance of creating educational environments that encourage students’ curiosity, thinking, and positive emotional engagement, all of which are key factors in shaping brain development.

The workshop also focused on practical methods based on scientific evidence to manage stress and psychological distress, build emotional resilience, and enhance positive thinking skills among teachers and students alike. The session also discussed various techniques such as mindfulness meditation in the classroom, developing a growth mindset, and the role of emotional intelligence in academic performance.

The interactive workshop encouraged open dialogue, reflection and sharing of best practices among participants. It was an enriching and knowledge-rich experience that provided participants with scientific and practical tools to support both cognitive and emotional growth in their schools.

The founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Noor International School, Mr. Ali Hassan, presented a memorial shield to the workshop coordinator in recognition of her valuable contribution, expressing his sincere gratitude, saying: “We are pleased and honored to host an expert with such valuable experience and knowledge, and we appreciate your time, efforts, and wisdom that you shared with us today.” This shield is a symbol of our gratitude and appreciation for your distinguished person and the valuable time that you have given us.”
