President Sisi heads to Brussels to head Egypt’s delegation to the first Egyptian-European summit

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will leave the homeland this morning, heading to the Belgian capital, Brussels, where he will head the delegation of the Arab Republic of Egypt participating in the work of the first Egyptian-European summit, scheduled to be held on the twenty-second of this month of October.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the holding of this historic summit, the first of its kind between Egypt and the European Union, comes As a culmination of the comprehensive strategic partnership process that was officially launched in Cairo in March 2024, he stressed that the President will hold, on the sidelines of the visit, a series of important meetings with senior European Union officials, in addition to a number of European leaders, and will also hold a meeting with His Majesty the King of Belgium.
He explained Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, said that the president’s visit aims to consolidate the frameworks of cooperation and political coordination with the European side, as well as with Belgium regarding regional and international issues of common interest. The visit also includes a pivotal economic aspect, as an expanded economic forum will be held on its sidelines on investment opportunities in Egypt, with broad participation from major European companies and business sector leaders, in addition to discussing the Egyptian vision for combating immigration.
