The Deputy Minister of Health inspects Bir al-Abd Hospital and Family Medicine Unit in North Sinai
Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, conducted an inspection tour in North Sinai Governorate, which included Bir Al-Abd Central Hospital and the Birr Al-Abd Family Medicine Unit, to determine the progress of work, the quality of services provided, and the field needs of medical and administrative staff.
The Deputy Minister began his tour. He inspected Bir al-Abd Central Hospital, where he visited the outpatient clinics with their various specialties, and was assured of the regularity of work and the availability of medicines and medical supplies. He also listened to citizens’ opinions about the quality of the services provided, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to meet their needs. The tour included an inspection of the internal departments, the intensive care department, operating rooms, the laboratory, and the radiology department, where Dr. Al-Tayeb praised the level of medical and technical equipment and the efficiency of the team. Medical and administrative services in providing safe and integrated health services to the people of North Sinai.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that during the visit, the Deputy Minister followed up on the followed treatment protocols, which are in line with the latest international standards, and ensured the availability of all pharmaceutical types and medical supplies in the pharmacy and drug stores. He also reviewed the work mechanisms in the operating rooms and the department. Radiology, praising the hospital’s readiness to receive cases around the clock.
The Deputy Minister continued his tour by visiting the Bir al-Abd Family Medicine Unit, where he inspected the reception, emergency, laboratory, pharmacy, and drug store departments, to ensure the availability of medical services in various specialties. He also visited specialized clinics, a family medicine clinic, and a clinic. Dentistry, the Presidential Initiatives and Health Education Room, and reviewed the attendance and departure book to ensure the commitment of the medical and administrative teams. Dr. Al-Tayeb directed that any observations or negatives detected be quickly addressed, to ensure the continued provision of services at the highest levels of efficiency and quality.
The Deputy Minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Peter Waguih, Assistant Minister for Therapeutic Medicine, and Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects, Dr. Ahmed Rizk, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, Dr. Mohamed Al-Sadafi, Head of the Central Administration for Urgent Care, Dr. Rasha Al-Sharqawi, Head of the Central Administration for Strategic Management, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Head of the Central Administration for Curative Care, Dr. Mohamed Ramadan, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Omar, Director of the General Administration for Internal Audit and Governance, and Dr. Amr Adel, Director of the North Health Affairs Directorate.
