المملكة: 65.7% of orphans in Mecca suffer from a lack of support from relatives and family communication


A recent study conducted by the Orphan Empowerment Association revealed that Meccathat 65.7% of Orphans suffer from a great weakness or complete absence of support from their relatives, as part of a field study that included 313 orphans entitled "It is not far from you.

The results of the study showed that only 34.3% of orphans receive effective support from their relatives, while it showed that 242 orphans do not receive any support from the father’s relatives, which reflects the limited family participation in caring for orphans and their social and psychological support.

The Orphan Empowerment Association, which was founded in July 2023, with a license from the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, one of the leading associations in the fields of training, rehabilitation and economic empowerment for orphans and their families, with the aim of helping them achieve financial independence and build a sustainable professional future.

Life skills

The association also works to develop the skills of orphans and build their personalities through programs that focus on enhancing self-confidence and developing life and professional skills, in addition to qualifying orphans for the labor market in Mecca by training them in the required modern skills and providing job opportunities commensurate with their abilities. And their ambitions.

As part of its specific projects, the association launched "Qarnas Academy" In response to the needs of mothers of orphans who wish to support their children and develop their personalities from the ages of 6 to 11 years, the academy is a journey of building and empowerment that extends to the depth of the needs of mothers who have lost their breadwinners, and aims to instill authentic Saudi values ​​and hone children’s skills to achieve psychological, social and cognitive balance.
