The Minister of Health discusses the progress of mechanization of the aortic valve replacement system using international technology

     Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received Anna Kasparzak, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of an international company head of the East, Central Europe and Africa region, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in joint health projects, with a focus on mechanizing the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI) follow-up system, in order to improve the quality of health care provided.       Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting focused on following up on the developments of the TAVI system automation project within the presidential initiative to end waiting lists, which aims to accelerate the follow-up of heart patients and ensure that the medical service reaches its beneficiaries efficiently and transparently. 

     He explained that the meeting addressed the needs and tools necessary to ensure the sustainability of joint health projects, as the Minister stressed the Ministry’s keenness to provide all forms of support to achieve these goals, and he also listened to the company’s proposals to expand health projects in cooperation with the Ministry.

 

    Abdel Ghaffar added that the meeting discussed preparations for launching the pilot phase of the national initiative for early detection of dangerous hereditary heart diseases, while reviewing the readiness of both sides to implement it. The possibility of expanding the application of advanced treatment protocols was also discussed, which contributes to improving the quality of health life for patients and enhancing the efficiency of the system. Health.

 

     The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Initiatives and Public Health Affairs, Major General Amr Ayed, Assistant Minister for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, Dr. Ahmed Mostafa, President of the General Authority for Health Insurance, Dr. Mohamed Al-Akkad, Director of Specialized Medical Councils, Tamer Hussein, the company’s regional director in Egypt, North and West Africa, Dr. Mohamed Al-Maghazi, the company’s advisor for project management, and Dr. Yasmina Pavlovich, Head of the Access Sector.
