The Deputy Minister of Health inspects Sheikh Zuwayed Hospital and the Bashlaq Family Medicine Unit in North Sinai

Dr. Muhammad Al-Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health, held a meeting with Major General Dr. Khaled Mujawar, Governor of North Sinai, to discuss ways to raise the readiness of health facilities and hospitals, to ensure the provision of distinguished medical services to Palestinian citizens and brothers. This came at the headquarters of the governorate’s general office.
The meeting discussed the executive plan for developing health facilities, with a focus on the availability of medicines and supplies. Medical and equipment, in addition to securing manpower and precise medical specialties, including psychiatry and addiction treatment. The drug supply plan was also reviewed to ensure the sustainability of the strategic stock, and coordination between sectors for rapid emergency response, with the aim of improving the quality of health services provided.
After the meeting, the Deputy Minister visited Sheikh Zuwayed Central Hospital, where he was briefed. He monitored the progress of work in the emergency departments, operations, intensive care, nurseries, and outpatient clinics, and ensured the availability of medical devices and supplies, and listened to patients’ opinions about the level of services. He also inspected the mobile CT scan car, and directed to improve the work environment of doctors, increase fire extinguishers, and enhance periodic cleaning work, stressing the importance of field follow-up to ensure the sustainability of the service with the highest standards. Dr. Muhammad Al-Tayeb concluded his tour with a visit to the Bashlaq Family Medicine Unit, where he reviewed the daily frequency rates and directed the organization of awareness convoys to inform the people of the available services. He also issued directives to form a permanent technical committee to train workers on infection control and quality standards, and inspect the pharmacy and drug store to ensure the availability of all Pharmaceutical items.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Major General Assem Saadoun, Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister for Therapeutic Medicine, and a number of leaders of the Ministry of Health, which reflects the close coordination between the Ministry and the Governorate to achieve the goals of the health system.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman, confirmed To the Ministry, these efforts come to ensure the provision of urgent and safe medical services, in a way that enhances confidence in the health system in North Sinai.
