"Abu Dhabi Chamber" The presence of national companies at the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition 2025 is enhanced

ABU DHABI, 22nd October / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, within its pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition 2025, is showcasing a number of small and medium-sized national companies operating in the fields of agriculture and food, with the aim of promoting their innovative products and enhancing their presence in local and global markets.
The pavilion includes companies that have adopted innovative business models based on modern agricultural technologies and sustainable food production practices, including Gracia Farm, a leader in hydroponic and vertical agriculture, and Alphafa Agricultural Company, which specializes in developing smart agricultural home systems and organic agriculture. It also includes Refarm Global, which applies the circular economy model to transform organic waste into productive resources that reduce emissions. Carbon and promotes sustainable agriculture, and Water Melon Company, which provides integrated digital solutions that connect suppliers, distributors and companies within a unified system to facilitate commercial operations in the food sector.
His Excellency Shams Ali Al Dhaheri, Second Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Managing Director, confirmed that the Chamber’s participation in the exhibition comes as a continuation of its efforts to empower small and medium-sized national companies and give them the opportunity to display their products to a wide local and international audience of investors and interested parties, allowing them to open new markets and expand their network of partnerships.
He pointed out that enhancing the participation of national companies in international exhibitions represents a strategic step to consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading center in sustainable agriculture and food industries.
The agricultural and food sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are witnessing rapid growth, as they constitute one of the main drivers of non-oil economic development. According to data from the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi, the total value of trade in goods and agricultural and food products reached about 3.2% of the emirate’s gross domestic product in 2024, equivalent to 6% of the non-oil domestic product, which reflects the vital role of this sector in Support the local economy.
In the same year, Abu Dhabi’s exports recorded about 154 billion dirhams of agricultural and food goods and products, including animal products, vegetables, fertilizers, prepared foods, and others, achieving an annual growth of 62%, which confirms the sector’s strong performance and its growing investment attractiveness. This growth reflects the dynamic, evolving agricultural business landscape in the emirate, as Abu Dhabi is reshaping the future of agriculture by adopting advanced climate control systems and hydroponic farming techniques that raise crop productivity by up to 30 times traditional productivity.
It is estimated that food production in the UAE is likely to rise by up to 40% in the coming years, in parallel with the acceleration of growth in the agricultural technology, food processing and retail sectors, which strengthens the country’s position as a global force in food innovation based on technology and sustainability.
