October 2026 is the date for the 4th edition of "UAE Table Tennis Championship for Youth and Juniors"

Dubai, October 22 / WAM / The International Table Tennis Federation announced today that the fourth edition of the UAE International Youth and Junior Championship will be held during the period from October 18 to 21, 2026.
The new date was set on the sidelines of the third edition of the tournament, which Dubai is currently hosting, with the participation of 265 male and female players from 26 countries at the Al-Ahly Youth Hall in Al Mamzar, under the sponsorship of the Dubai Sports Council.
Today, the championship competitions continued on its second day, with the U-11 and U-15 competitions for boys and girls completed, while the mixed doubles competitions began.
Rashid Saeed and Mohamed Al-Missibi, the national team’s players, qualified for the round of 16 in the U-13 singles category, after Rashid succeeded in defeating Egyptian Youssef Al-Morsi, to meet Indian Pratik Tolsani, while Al-Missibi defeated Kuwaiti Yousef Al-Kandari, and will meet Singaporean Ang Rai Teng.
This category is witnessing Arab brilliance with the qualification of a number of players, including Saudi Yousef Hanifa, who faces Iraqi Andia Muhammad, and Bahraini Sayed Alawi, who meets Egyptian Salah Allam, which ensures the presence of Arab players in the quarter-finals.
On the other hand, the Koreans dominated the under-19 mixed doubles category after the final was entirely Korean, with the doubles of Ma Youngmin and Lee Dae qualifying for the final to face the doubles of Lee Hyun-ho and Kim Eun-seo.
Ammar Khalaf Al Shamsi, member of the Board of Directors of the Backgammon Federation and Chairman of the Championship Referees Committee, confirmed that the third edition of the tournament witnesses the participation of 16 referees, including international referees from several different countries, including the Emirates, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iran, noting the Federation’s keenness to carefully select referees so that local referees benefit from this experience in dealing with matches and tournaments.
He explained that the selection of referees is always in the direction of international and first-class players, and such tournaments are always eligible for the international badge, as the tournament is international and accredited by the International Federation of the Game, noting that there are 8 national referees on the tournament roster.
