Complete themes of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development “PHDC’25” It will present a set of integrated themes that reflect a comprehensive vision of human development, and place people at the heart of public policies.
The conference is scheduled to be held during the period from November 11 to 13, 2025, in the conference hall of the St. Regis Hotel in the New Administrative Capital, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar explained that the conference themes include health issues. Global by strengthening the interconnection of health with education, housing, and the economy, through fair policies that ensure improved quality of life for all, and comprehensive health coverage by developing health care systems to ensure affordable and quality services, by improving financing, governance, and the health workforce.
He continued that the conference’s themes also include the care economy and comprehensive development by highlighting the economic and social value of care work, and supporting women’s participation and empowerment as a pillar. For sustainable growth, as well as social protection and economic justice by strengthening social safety networks, expanding access to services and fair opportunities, to reduce poverty and reduce societal gaps.
Abdul Ghaffar added: Education and lifelong learning is an axis that focuses on building generations capable of keeping pace with current and future transformations, through flexible, comprehensive education, and supportive of social integration, while investment in youth focuses on preparing young people with the skills and opportunities necessary for the future, and empowering them as active partners in development and digital transformation.
He pointed out that culture, sports, and national identity are an axis that includes employing soft power to support belonging. And national pride, enhancing community cohesion and empowering youth, in addition to the axis of population dynamics by transforming demographic challenges related to aging, urbanization and migration into opportunities for comprehensive growth.
The official spokesman pointed to the axis of healthy aging and longevity by expanding the scope of care and support for the elderly, and enhancing their participation in community and economic life, as well as the axis of migration, environment and population fragility. And dealing with the repercussions of climate change, displacement and migration through innovative solutions that enhance resilience. The digital innovation axis reflects leading the transformation of health, education and social services through technology, while ensuring governance, inclusion and ethical innovation.
