The activities included a meeting between the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Eroglu Holding Group to discuss cooperation in managing and operating a number of spinning and weaving factories, where he stressed that what matters to the government now is to maintain the huge investments that the state has pumped into the process of reviving the spinning factories. And textiles, and it was noted that the company’s investment portfolio in the Egyptian market amounts to $350 million, and its factories employ about 10,000 workers.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also held a meeting to follow up on efforts to remove encroachments on the course of the Nile River and lands. He presented the river within the framework of the “National Nile Control Project,” stressing the need to implement a project aimed at developing and improving the management of the Nile River’s water and its course, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation to support Egypt’s water security.

During the meeting, it was noted that the project means taking all necessary measures to remove all forms of encroachments on the river’s course, while following up on commitment. With the requirements related to the works carried out on both sides of the river, and the implementation of development work for any walkway according to the models set by the Ministry of Irrigation without negatively affecting the water sector of the river.

The activities included, the Prime Minister held a meeting to follow up on the procedures for putting forward the Fustat Hills Gardens project for management and operation, stressing that there is special importance to this project, and in order to choose the best companies to manage and operate it at the highest level. As he met  With the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and her accompanying delegation to discuss a number of joint cooperation files, he stressed that Egyptian-Qatari relations are at their best stage now, and that the two countries have witnessed close cooperation in the file of mediation to stop the war on the Gaza Strip, and he explained  Cooperation between the two countries continues during the post-ceasefire phase, especially the issue of introducing humanitarian aid.

During the meeting, it was confirmed that 30,000 shelter tents have arrived in Al-Arish in preparation for their entry into the Gaza Strip before the arrival of winter, among more than 80,000 shelter tents that will enter the Strip successively.

The Prime Minister also held a meeting to follow up on developments in the executive position of the projects. The presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, and stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of the remaining projects within the framework of the first phase, and accelerating the implementation of the projects of the second phase, which aim to establish and implement more development and service projects.

It was clarified that the number of villages in which the various projects were completed reached 610 of the villages targeted within the framework of the first phase, while the number of villages ranging from Project implementation rates range between 80% to 95%, 745 villages, and 108 villages, with implementation rates for their various projects ranging between 60 and 80%.

The period from last July 30 until October 20 of this year witnessed the completion of projects for 63 of the targeted villages, and during the same period 677 projects were completed, and 1,427 projects were received in many sectors.

The meeting met The Prime Minister with the Vice Chairman of CITIC Group of China (CITIC) to review possible partnership opportunities with the group in a number of different fields, noting that the government aims for the production capacity of seawater desalination to reach 5 million cubic meters per day, within 5 years, with an ambitious plan to reach 10 million cubic meters per day.

He also welcomed  concluded a partnership with the group to establish a factory in Egypt to localize the manufacture of components for seawater desalination plants, expressing the government’s readiness to provide the necessary lands and establish civil construction for the factory.

The Prime Minister opened the “Oppo” factory Global Mobile Phone Manufacturing Company in the 10th of Ramadan City, within the framework of an investment plan estimated at approximately $50 million. He stressed that participation in the opening comes in line with the objectives of the presidential initiative “Egypt Manufactures Electronics.” Which works to make the electronics industry one of the largest pillars of the growth of the Egyptian economy and the main contributor to doubling exports. The factory provides 2,000 job opportunities and produces about 5 million units annually.

Egypt’s success in attracting 15 brands to manufacture mobile phones and their accessories, with a maximum capacity of about 20 million units annually, with total investments amounting to about 200 million dollars, was noted.

The Prime Minister also held a conference. A meeting was held to follow up on the executive and financial position of the Dabaa nuclear power station project, where he indicated the President of the Republic’s keenness to follow up on the various developments related to the project, which would enhance efforts to diversify the energy mix and rely more on electrical energy generated from new and renewable sources. He also stressed the continuation of providing the various logistical and financial needs and requirements necessary for the project, which would contribute to accelerating its implementation rates in accordance with For the planned timetables.

The Prime Minister met with the CEO of ACWA Power Saudi Arabia to review possible partnership opportunities in the field of seawater desalination, where he expressed his appreciation for cooperation with the company in many renewable and clean energy projects, noting that the company has proven to be a reliable partner after its success in existing partnership projects with the government. 

He also confirmed that "ACWA Power" It stands out as one of the most prominent companies specialized in the field of water desalination, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with the company in establishing water desalination plants, as well as localizing the manufacture of components for water desalination plants operating with the “membrane” reverse osmosis technology.
