Olympic Committee: The Asian Games are a pivotal stage in the UAE sports journey

Manama, October 24 / WAM / The National Olympic Committee has confirmed its great confidence in the sons and daughters of the Emirates to demonstrate competitive levels during their participation in the third Asian Games currently being held in Bahrain, until October 31 of this year.
His Excellency Fares Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, said that the tournament is becoming increasingly important as it is a qualifying station for the Youth Olympic Games “Dakar 2026”, which motivates sports federations to redouble their efforts and focus on achieving the best results for UAE sports.

He explained in a statement today, on the occasion of the results in the various competitions, that the first coronation in this important event was achieved by the athletics team player, Mohammed Adel Al-Ali, in the hammer throw, indicating that the Bahrain Games are a prominent stage in the journey of the national Olympic movement, and carry great historical value, and a rich experience for all members of the delegation, including administrators, technicians, and players, with the participation of the elite athletes on the continent.
He also praised the great efforts of the organizing committee in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, with full confidence in their capabilities and accumulated experience in making the continental sports forum a success, explaining at the same time his support for the success of the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hosting the sixth edition of the upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games, given the Kingdom’s capabilities, high-level facilities and specialized committees, which would contribute to producing the event in a distinctive manner.
