Talal Naji: The Cairo meetings aim to establish a ceasefire in Gaza

The Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, General Command, Talal Naji, confirmed that the meetings held by the Palestinian factions in Cairo aim to consolidate the ceasefire agreement and discuss the mechanisms for its comprehensive implementation, indicating that these meetings represent an important step towards building an integrated national dialogue that strengthens the unity of the Palestinian position and lays solid foundations for the next stage.

He added, in a special interview with media personality Iman Al-Hwaizi, via the “Cairo News” channel, that Egypt played a pivotal role in the success of the truce and ceasefire efforts, thanks to the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the follow-up of Major General Hassan Rashad of the General Intelligence, stressing that this Egyptian role was not only in the Palestinian issue, but today it has become influential. In all regional issues, he stressed that Cairo’s intervention contributed to stopping the bloodshed in Gaza and saving the lives of thousands of civilians.

 

The Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine expressed his great appreciation for the Egyptian people, whom he described as a brother, for the solidarity and love they showed towards the people.  

 

 

 

He stressed that the Egyptian official position reflects the authenticity of this people and their history in supporting Arab issues, most notably the Palestinian issue, which was and still is the focus of attention of the Egyptian leadership and its people alike.
