The Minister of Agriculture receives a number of farmers and listens to their problems

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, received a number of farmers, within the framework of enhancing direct communication with farmers and agricultural producers, listening to their problems and working to solve them.
The meeting witnessed a frank and fruitful dialogue, as the minister listened to a number of issues and demands presented by farmers, with regard to the fertilizer distribution system and providing Production requirements, clearing waterways, marketing crops, agricultural extension, and the farmers’ support system.
During the meeting, Farouk stressed that the farmer support file is the ministry’s top priority, stressing that his office will remain constantly open to every farmer and peasant, and that any complaint or demand of farmers will be responded to immediately, and he stressed his keenness to Direct and continuous communication with farmers, breeders and agricultural producers in various governorates, as well as listening to their opinions and point of view on issues that concern the farmer.
The Minister of Agriculture stressed that the Ministry will spare no effort in finding urgent and effective solutions to all the challenges facing farmers, pointing out that amendments are currently being made to the Cooperatives Law. Agricultural, to activate and deepen the role of agricultural associations, to be a true home for the Egyptian farmer, to provide all means of support to farmers, to facilitate continuous communication processes, and to address problems immediately.
He added that comprehensive agricultural development convoys will be launched for all governorates, including all specializations of plant, animal and poultry production, to provide extension services. Awareness, pest control, livestock vaccination, detection and treatment to support breeders, and facilitating livestock insurance procedures, in addition to identifying any problems and solving them immediately.
He pointed out that these convoys will include experts, scientists and specialists from different fields, and researchers. From institutes and research centers, to transfer modern agricultural practices to farmers, apply the results of studies and research in the fields, and train farmers on them.
The Minister of Agriculture directed the formation of an urgent committee to immediately follow up on the proposals submitted by farmers, and to begin work to overcome obstacles immediately.
