"Journalists": Beginning to receive applications from members wishing to perform Hajj in 2026

The Hajj and Umrah Committee of the Journalists Syndicate, headed by Mohamed Al-Sayed Al-Shazly, announced that it has received requests from female colleagues and fellow members of the Syndicate wishing to perform Hajj rituals, starting tomorrow, Monday, until Thursday, November 6.

 

The committee confirmed – in a statement to the Syndicate today – that in accordance with the controls of the Ministerial Committee for Hajj, the quota allocated to the Syndicate will be implemented through one of the tourism companies at the level of "Economic Improvement" Including meals (breakfast and dinner) throughout the trip, noting that applications are submitted to the press services complex on the first floor of the union building.

The statement stated that the required documents are the original passport (valid for one year), a copy of the national ID, and payment of the serious reservation for the traveling journalist only in the amount of (20 thousand pounds), pointing out that according to the regulations, he is required not to perform the duty before throughout his life, and that priority is given to journalists. Traveling alone, then first-class relatives if places are available, and that in the event of requests exceeding the allocated quota, a public lottery will be held.

The Hajj and Umrah Committee of the Journalists Syndicate clarified that whoever proves that he does not meet the conditions and controls of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, or the Saudi Ministry of Hajj will be excluded, and he will bear all administrative fees in accordance with the controls stated in this regard, indicating that they are paid. The rest of the cost will be determined through the Ministry of Tourism’s regulations for the Tahsin Economic Program, and contracting with one of the tourism companies, along with completing the rest of the required papers, and that in the event of cancellation of the reservation, the pilgrim will bear all fees prescribed by the Ministry of Interior.
