Conclusion of the first round of the UAE Licensed Weapons Shooting Championship in Al Dhafra

Al Dhafra, 27 October / WAM / The activities of the first round of the third edition of the UAE Licensed Weapons Shooting Championship – Al Dhafra Round, 223 rifle category, were concluded yesterday evening, with the participation of 130 shooters.
The events were witnessed at Al Dhafra Shooting Club and the winners were crowned by His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and His Excellency Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi, Director General of the Weapons and Dangerous Materials Office and Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the tournament, in the presence of Amer bin Al Noah Al Menhali, Director of the tournament.
Al Dhafra Shooting Club, represented by Abdullah Hamad Al Marri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, was also honored in appreciation of his efforts in making all organizational arrangements for the tournament.
The competitions resulted in Hamdan Saif Awais Al Darei winning first place and the symbol of the championship, Hamad Ali Khaseef Al Kaabi winning second place, and Hamad Saeed Al Shasha’i winning third place.
Ibrahim Yahya Al-Darai also won fourth place, Saeed Ali Subeih Al-Kaabi won fifth place, Saeed Ahmed Saeed Al-Kaabi won sixth place, Muhammad Saleh Salih Al-Menhali won seventh place, Ayesh Salem Al-Qaidi won eighth place, Muhammad Hilal Khadoum Al-Kaabi won ninth place, and Majid Mubarak Mabrouk Al-Buraiki won tenth place.
The winners of the first three places expressed their thanks and appreciation to the tournament organizing committee for adopting this initiative, organizing events in various cities of the country, providing a safe environment to practice this sport, and organizing events according to the best technical standards, in a way that enhances the capabilities of shooters and inspires future generations to practice this sport.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi thanked His Excellency the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, for attending the tournament activities, crowning the winners, and for his motivating words to them.
He explained that the tournament aims to promote the practice of shooting with licensed weapons in accordance with the highest safety standards, enhance national identity through community activities in various clubs in the country, instill a spirit of competition and discover talents capable of representing the country in foreign forums, and raise the rates of shooting practice in specialized clubs.
He added that the increase in the number of participants in the events reinforces the value of the event, its importance, and its pivotal and qualitative role in improving the competitive capabilities of the participants, meeting their ambitions to practice this sport, and establishing awareness of the sport of licensed weapons, hoping for more success in the upcoming events, praising the tangible role of shooting clubs and national weapons companies in cooperation and interaction to support the holding of these tournaments.
