المملكة: The Minister of Interior inaugurates the mobile oncology unit affiliated with the medical services


His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz inaugurated Specialized health care services in various regions of the Kingdom, as part of a qualitative step to develop the Mobile health care at the Ministry of Interior, which contributes to expanding access to specialized services and reducing the burden on patients, especially in remote areas.

The mobile unit provides integrated oncology treatment in multiple locations in the Kingdom’s regions, including chemotherapy, remote medical consultations, and palliative care, in addition to benefiting from modern digital health technologies and systems. Intelligent connectivity between service providers, ensuring speed of diagnosis, accuracy of follow-up and quality of care.

Improving patients’ quality of life

This initiative is one of the fruits of cooperation between the Medical Cities Operation Program in the Medical Services of the Ministry of Interior and the (STC) Group to enable digital transformation in health services and improve the quality of patients’ lives, within the framework of the commitment of both sides to adopting innovation and modern technologies to serve humanity and achieve The goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in national health transformation.

The mobile oncology unit is scheduled to be displayed within the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at the World Health Forum 2025, allowing visitors to see the advanced technical equipment that has been integrated into the unit, and its role in transferring specialized therapeutic services to various regions of the Kingdom.

The inauguration was attended by His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Acting Deputy Minister of Interior, His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs Mohammed bin Muhanna Al-Muhanna, Advisor to His Highness the Minister of Interior Raed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed, and Supervisor of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior Dr. Saleh bin Zaid Al-Mohsen.

The CEO of the group was also present. Saudi Telecom Olayan Al Watid, CEO of the Business Unit of the Saudi Telecom Group, Riyad Moawad, and CEO of the Medical Cities Program, Engineer Yasser Al-Awfi.
