Healthcare launches a new intermediate care department at Karnak International Hospital in Luxor

The General Health Care Authority announced the inauguration of a new intermediate care department at Karnak International Hospital in Luxor. This comes within the framework of the authority’s plan to increase vital services and raise the efficiency of its medical facilities, thus enhancing its ability to provide critical and intermediate care services in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Health Care Authority and general supervisor of the project, confirmed Comprehensive Health Insurance, said that the opening of the new intermediate care department comes within the framework of the authority’s plan to increase the capacity within its hospitals, especially in the critical and intermediate care departments that represent the backbone of specialized medical services, noting that the total number of beds at Karnak International Hospital increased to 39 beds between intensive care and intermediate care, after the opening of the new department, adding that these expansions come in response to the needs of patients. Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki explained that the cost of one bed with its components amounts to about one million pounds, due to the infrastructure and high-tech precision medical equipment required by critical care equipment, indicating that this increase represents a growth in the capacity of 15% at Karnak Hospital.
