Today, Tuesday, Al-Ahsa Municipality, in cooperation with the Governorate Traffic Department, began implementing Partial closures of the road to ensure the smooth flow of movement on other lanes.
Beginning of the closure and identifying alternative routes
The Secretariat explained that the first phase began today, during which the road was closed to those coming from the city of Hofuf and heading north to Noura Al-Mousa Square in the city of Mubarraz.
The Secretariat specified The alternative route for drivers in this direction, as they must take the “service road” parallel to the bridge, then return through the “U-turn” lane located on King Fahd Road.
Details of the second phase
She added that the second phase is scheduled to begin next Sunday, corresponding to November 2, 2025. This phase will include closing the opposite lane for those coming from Noura Square. Al-Mousa in Al-Mubarraz and heading south to the city of Al-Hofuf.
The “secretariat” indicated that the alternative route allocated for the second phase will also be via the “service road”, then returning through the “detour lane” located under the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Road bridge.
