Winter time starts to apply… and the clock will be delayed by 60 minutes at midnight next Thursday
Winter time will officially begin to be implemented in Egypt as of next Friday, October 31, 2025, as the clock will be delayed by 60 minutes at midnight on Thursday to become eleven in the evening, in accordance with Law No. 24 issued in 2023.
It is noteworthy that the Official Gazette had published in its issue No. 15 bis issued on April 16, 2023, Law No. 24 of 2023 regarding the timing system report. Saifi, after it was approved by the House of Representatives It was ratified by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
According to what was stated in the first article of the law, from the last Friday of April until the end of the last Thursday of October of each calendar year, the legal hour in the Arab Republic of Egypt shall be the hour according to the established time, advanced by sixty minutes.
The second article of the law stipulated The law shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall be effective from the day following the date of its publication. This law shall bear the seal of the state and shall be implemented as one of its laws, as it was issued by the Presidency of the Republic on the 25th of Ramadan, 1444 AH, corresponding to April 16, 2023.
