“Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025” starts on Saturday and lasts for 30 days

With the start of the “Dubai Fitness Challenge” activities approaching, the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, to make Dubai the most active, healthy and vibrant city in the world, the schedule of events for the ninth session of the challenge has been revealed, which is scheduled to start on Saturday, November 1, 2025, turning Dubai into a vibrant arena for an entire month. It celebrates fitness and wellness by committing to 30 minutes of physical activity daily for 30 days, while inviting all residents and visitors of the city to seek their challenge and actively participate in the challenge throughout this month.

The current session’s activities extend until Sunday, November 30, offering a unique program of free experiences designed to suit all ages and abilities.

From four major events, three 30×30 fitness villages, and more than 25 community centers, to thousands of free training sessions and classes across the city, the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025 offers an integrated experience that makes movement and activity more inspiring, easy and fun than ever before.

Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, said: “His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Dubai Fitness Challenge in 2017 with an innovative idea calling on the community to exercise 30 minutes a day for 30 days. Today, the challenge has become a qualitative event that has changed our city’s outlook on physical activity.”

He added: “Success is not only related to the number of participants, but rather to the number of people whose lives have changed. There are people who started walking with their families, employers who established health programs in their workplaces, and neighborhoods whose streets are now full of active residents. Such behavioral change is important, because public health is a long journey, and the challenge is the motivator that turns intention into a daily habit.”

He continued: “The challenge is to put Dubai on the world map as a city that translates visions into realistic practices, as it is characterized by comprehensiveness through various activities and programs designed for all groups of men and women, adults and children, in addition to digital platforms that allow communication and participation from anywhere. Diversity and accessibility create sustainable change in the community’s sports culture, and our goal is for Dubai to remain a global home and the best destination for sports and active living, while ensuring quality of life for all members of society, which consolidates Dubai’s position as the best city in the world to live, work and entertain.”

For his part, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, Ahmed Al Khaja, said: “This year’s slogan (Find Your Challenge) embodies the essence of the initiative, as it calls on everyone to explore activities that suit their interests and abilities. In the “Year of Community” in the UAE, this annual event brings together the city’s members over a full month of movement and activity, to provide them with shared experiences that enhance communication and inspire everyone to adopt sustainable healthy habits that extend beyond the challenging period.”
