A medical team in Dubai saves the life of a European tourist who suffered a severe heart attack on a cruise ship

Dubai, October 29 / WAM / A medical team in Dubai saved the life of a 65-year-old European traveler who suffered a severe heart attack while she was on a tourist ship docking in Dubai. She was transported urgently via an ambulance belonging to the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to a private hospital in Dubai in record time, within minutes, which contributed to saving her life in a timely manner.
The patient arrived at the hospital and was suffering from a loss of consciousness due to a severe slowdown in her heartbeat, which threatened her life with cardiac arrest.
A specialized medical team led by Dr. Abdullah Al-Hajri, a cardiologist and catheterization consultant in Dubai, received the case and dealt with it upon its arrival.
Dr. Al-Hajri, who performed surgery on the tourist, said: “The traveler’s health condition was critical, and what made it more difficult was that the patient was advanced in age, but an urgent treatment plan was drawn up and she underwent the process of implanting a dual-polar pacemaker with special specifications that ensured the continuity of its battery’s activity for a long period, which contributed to her recovery and complete stabilization of her condition.”
He stressed that the UAE enjoys superior medical services and is distinguished by the integration of health services, which contributes to dealing with any medical case in record time, in accordance with the highest international medical standards. He thanked Dubai Ambulance and those in charge of health regulation in Dubai for their efforts and expertise in dealing with such critical cases.
For her part, the tourist expressed her deep gratitude to the medical team and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services for the speed of response and quality of care she received from the medical team, praising the world-class level of health services in the UAE, which were the reason for saving her life and stabilizing her health condition at crucial moments.
