"Parliamentary Division" Participates in the meeting of the Social Affairs Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Association in Moscow
Moscow, 30 October / WAM / His Excellency Muhammad Issa Al-Kashf, member of the Parliamentary Division Group of the Federal National Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, participated in the meeting of the Social and Cultural Affairs Committee of the Association, held in Moscow, Russian Federation.
In his intervention, His Excellency stressed that the UAE attaches great importance to Asian parliamentary cooperation, and is keen to support efforts that enhance cultural and human understanding between peoples, based on its belief in the importance of parliamentary dialogue and joint cooperation between member states, which contributes to enhancing security and stability on the Asian continent.
He pointed out the importance of activating parliamentary diplomacy as a tool to bring viewpoints closer, confront common challenges, and strengthen regional efforts that contribute to consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence, and promoting sustainable cultural and social development in Asia, especially in the areas of education, culture, youth, and women’s empowerment.
His Excellency Al-Kashf presented the proposals of the UAE Parliamentary Division on the draft resolutions being discussed in the committee, on the topic “Promoting the distinguished upbringing of children and youth for a sustainable society in Asia,” and the topic “Asian parliamentarians support a more just multipolar global system that reflects its cultural and civilizational diversity.”
