"Identity and foreigners affairs in Dubai" Organizing a virtual event for workers on Eid al-Fitr

Dubai, 19 March / WAM / On the 20th and 21st of March, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai is organizing a celebration on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr under the slogan “Eid Al Fitr… Let’s celebrate the Eid together”, directed to the workforce in the Emirate of Dubai, as part of its community initiatives aimed at sharing the joy of Eid with this group and enhancing the spirit of community cohesion.
The organization of this initiative, which will be virtual, comes in recognition of the vital role played by the workforce in supporting the development process in the emirate, and in line with Dubai’s vision of consolidating the values of giving and enhancing community cohesion.
The two-day celebration includes entertainment and interactive segments, draws for various prizes, in addition to programs and activities aimed at spreading an atmosphere of joy and happiness to celebrate this occasion.
The virtual celebration is broadcast through the “Blue Connect” application, which provides a digital platform dedicated to the workforce that includes a variety of entertainment content, including videos, interactive games, and competitions, allowing everyone to participate in the events and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The event is supported by a group of partners and sponsors, including Du, Flydubai, and Malabar Gold, in addition to a number of supporting entities that contributed to the success of this community initiative.
Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, explained that this celebration aims to honor the efforts of the workforce and appreciate their daily contributions to building the city of Dubai, share the joy of Eid with this group, and highlight their pivotal role in supporting the process of sustainable development.
For his part, Colonel Omar Matar Al-Muzaina, Assistant Director General of the Labor Relations Regulation Sector, said that this initiative comes within the framework of the administration’s keenness to promote a positive and comprehensive work environment, and to establish a sense of belonging among the workforce.
