Dubai hosts the “Fate in the Desert” fight between “Al Dah and Brock” for the World Boxing Federation Championship title

Dubai will host the “Fate in the Desert” professional boxing tournament, which brings together Emirati champion Issa Al Dah, the first professional boxer in the country’s history, and British world champion Kell Brook, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) title holder, for the World Boxing Federation (WBC) championship title, on February 13, 2026.
The tournament will be held at The Agenda Hall in Dubai Media City, with the support of the Dubai Sports Council, in an evening whose proceeds will be allocated to the humanitarian foundation bearing the name of the late British boxing legend Ricky Hatton, embodying the UAE’s position as a global center for elite sports, and a regional capital for professional boxing.
This announcement came during the press conference held this evening in “The Agenda” hall in the presence of the event organizer, Martin P. Gravestock, the two competing boxers and their coaches, a representative of the World Boxing Federation (WBC), and a number of partners and supporters.
Al-Dah, nicknamed the “Arab Warrior,” stressed during the conference that he feels grateful to Ricky Hatton, who believed in his idea and helped him put his name on the world boxing map, indicating that he seeks, through this confrontation, to present a fight worthy of the name of the Emirates and its people.
He said: I do not fight for money or fame, but rather to raise the name of my country, and I promise the audience a strong fight befitting the level of the event. I also thank Kel Brook for accepting the confrontation with me. I respect Kel as a great champion and as an experienced fighter.
As for Kell Brook, nicknamed “The Special One,” he is considered one of the most prominent British boxing champions in the modern era, as he was crowned the IBF Welterweight World Champion in 2014, and retained the title until 2017. He expressed his happiness at participating in this event that contributes to the development of the sport of boxing in Dubai, praising the initiative led by Issa Al Dah and his team to promote the game in the Emirates.
He said: It is unfortunate that the legend Ricky Hatton has passed away, and it is important that we contribute to supporting the mental health of athletes and highlighting the human side of boxing.
He added: I know that Issa is coming to ignite the atmosphere, and I promise the fans an exciting confrontation befitting the status of the event.
