South Korea recalls more than 260,000 vehicles due to manufacturing defects

The South Korean Ministry of Transport announced the recall of more than 260,000 vehicles due to manufacturing defects, including more than 180,000 vehicles from the Hyundai group. Local Motor.

 

The newspaper “Le Figaro” reported: The French Ministry said on Thursday that the vehicle recalls are related to fire risks resulting from defects in the design of the battery management program or fuel filter components.

 

The Ministry indicated that a total of 260,184 vehicles of 57 models, manufactured, imported or sold by Hyundai Motor, will be withdrawn. And “Kia” And “BMW Korea” and “Stellantis Korea”; Voluntarily due to specific manufacturing defects. 

 

She explained that more than 180,000 vehicles from the “Hyundai Motor” group South Korea is affected by this recall, noting that a battery fire in a parking lot for electric cars in 2024 damaged hundreds of vehicles and caused nationwide panic in South Korea.
