المملكة: Scouts conclude a course "Create your story" To develop youth media skills

The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association concluded, Training course "Create your story with photos and video – documenting scouting events"which targeted boys and young people with the aim of developing their media skills and raising their efficiency in visual documentation of scouting activities and events in the various sectors of the association.

The course aims to enable participants to transform scouting activities into visual stories that express the team spirit and highlight the volunteer efforts of scouting in Community service, using professional photography methods and modern montage techniques.

Professional photography and report making

During the program, the trainer Muhammad Al-Talha addressed a number of topics, most notably: the basics of professional photography using a phone and camera, choosing appropriate angles and lighting, preparing visual reports, and implementing simple montage via video editing applications. The course also included practical field applications for documenting Real Scouting Events.

Al-Talha stressed that scouting documentation goes beyond just taking pictures to become an art that tells the story and reflects human interaction in the field, noting that conscious photography contributes to highlighting the developmental and social role of the Scouting movement.

This course comes within the efforts of the Secretariat of the Scouting Association in promoting the culture of scouting media, and employing modern technologies to highlight the achievements of Saudi Scouts, In line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in empowering youth and building a creative generation that employs its skills to serve the nation and society.
