Juventus announces the appointment of Spalletti as team coach until the end of the current season

The Italian club Juventus announced today, Thursday, the appointment of Luciano Spalletti as the team’s new coach until June 2026. Successor to the dismissed coach Igor Todor. 

 

The club stated, in an official statement, that Spalletti has become the new coach of Juventus, after signing a contract with the club extending until June 30, 2026.

Spalletti has a strong resume, having coached many Italian teams, such as Roma, Milan, Udinese, and Napoli, in addition to coaching the Italian national team since a year ago. 2023 until last June.

During his leadership of Udinese, Spalletti led the team to qualify for the European Championships three consecutive seasons, before achieving a historic achievement in the 2004/2005 season, leading the club to qualify for the first time in its history to the Champions League, which later led him to coach Roma for four seasons, during which he won two Italian Cup titles, in addition to the Italian Super Cup.

And between 2009 and 2014, Spalletti coached Russian Zenit Saint Petersburg, where he won the league title twice, the cup once, and the Russian Super Cup, before returning to Italy to coach Roma and then Inter Milan.

After leading Napoli to win the Italian League title at the end of the 2022/2023 season, the coach took over the task of coaching the Italian national team until June of this year.
