Emaar sponsors the Godolphin Mile race in the Dubai World Cup

Today, it was announced that Emaar Properties will sponsor the Godolphin Mile (Group 2), which is the first race dedicated to purebred horses during the Dubai World Cup, scheduled to be held on March 28, 2026.
The total prize money for the Godolphin Mile race is one million US dollars, making it a prominent event that attracts an elite group of international horses, as its last editions witnessed the coronation of horses trained in Japan, the United States and the Emirates. In the 2025 edition, the horse “Raging Torrent” won the title under the supervision of California-based trainer Doug O’Neill and the leadership of international jockey Frankie Dettori.
Ali Al Ali, Board Member and Executive Director of the Dubai Horse Racing Club, said that Emaar represents a cornerstone of Dubai’s infrastructure and has contributed to shaping its urban landscape, noting that Burj Khalifa is one of the most prominent global landmarks and provides a distinctive backdrop to the Meydan Racecourse.
He added that the Dubai Horse Racing Club looks forward to welcoming the Emaar team and their guests again this evening, appreciating their continued support for the race, which witnesses strong competition and exciting finishes between local horses and their international counterparts.
For his part, Ahmed Al Matroushi, CEO of Emaar Properties, stressed the company’s pride in sponsoring the “Godolphin Mile” race within the Dubai World Cup, noting that the event is considered one of the most prominent global events and reflects the leading position of Dubai, and also highlights the importance of coming together and celebrating shared experiences that inspire communities.
The “Godolphin Mile” race (Group 2) is scheduled to be held as the second half of the evening’s programme, which consists of nine laps.
