President of Germany: I will attend the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which the whole world is waiting for

 German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier expressed his happiness and pride in his participation in the opening activities of the Grand Egyptian Museum scheduled for next Saturday, and described this event as a wonderful cultural and exceptional event that the world awaits with longing and amazement.

The German President said, in a statement published today by the German Embassy in Cairo: " I will travel to Cairo this weekend to attend a special cultural event, the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, as this wonderful new museum displays more than 10,000 artifacts from ancient Egypt, including the world-famous “death mask” of King Tutankhamun.”

 

He added: “Architectural companies participated in designing lighting in the exhibition, among other things, the Tutankhamun Hall.” Amon, the world is impatiently awaiting the opening of the museum, and so am I.

 

He added: " In any case, I will take this opportunity to speak with President Sisi and many world presidents, who will attend the opening, about the political situation in the Middle East and the entire Near East region.

 

On the same level, the German ambassador to Cairo, Jürgen Schulz, expressed his enthusiasm and longing for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and said: “ We are pleased that a high-level delegation, headed by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will visit Cairo on this occasion.

 

In a statement this evening, Schulz added: “ We share the joy of our Egyptian friends, as the entire Egyptian people have the right to be proud of this grand opening, which will be a wonderful event.”
