Foreign Minister: Stresses the importance of continuing the dialogue between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency

Two phone calls took place between Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, with Abbas Araqchi, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, on Thursday, October 30.

 

The two contacts came within the framework of following up on developments in the Iranian nuclear file and working to support security and stability in the region by finding peaceful solutions to the Iranian nuclear file, as he stressed Minister Abdel Aty stressed the importance of continuing the dialogue between the two parties, resuming and strengthening cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency based on the agreement that was signed in Cairo on September 9, and working to intensify contacts between the parties concerned during the coming period. 

The contacts come under the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to make efforts to work to reduce escalation and achieve calm in the Middle East region.
