The Minister of Endowments congratulates President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the occasion of the opening of the Grand Museum

 Professor Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, extended his sincere congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and to the great Egyptian people, on the occasion of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, this exceptional event that brings back to human consciousness the immortal spirit of Egypt, and makes the land of Canaan a center for the radiance of civilization, beauty and creativity throughout the ages.

 

The Minister stressed Endowments: The opening of this global edifice is not merely the inauguration of a great museum that houses the antiquities of our ancestors, but rather it is a renewal of Egypt’s cultural and spiritual message that taught the world the meaning of building and construction, and combined the mind that creates, the spirit that constructs, and the taste that promotes human beauty in its highest form.

The Minister of Endowments added that what we are witnessing today is the interest of the Egyptian state, led by His Excellency the President, in protecting human heritage. And civilizational is an extension of the message of the prophets to rebuild the earth, preserve beauty, enhance belonging, and invoke a sense of responsibility towards history and humanity, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: {It is He who produced you from the earth and settled you therein} [هود:٦١]

His Excellency also pointed out that the Grand Egyptian Museum is not stone and rock, but rather it is the memory of a nation and the spirit of civilization, and a message to generations that beauty does not fade, and that whoever creates civilization is able to renew it, and that Egypt, which since the dawn of history has raised the banner of science, art, architecture and thought, returns today to raise it again in a contemporary guise befitting its status among nations.

The Minister of Endowments concludes his speech by stressing that the interest Antiquities and heritage are an integral part of the message of religion. Because Islam came to exalt the status of beauty, to order the protection of aspects of reconstruction, and to prohibit corruption and vandalism, as God Almighty said: {And do not spread corruption on earth after it has been put in order.} [الأعراف:٥٦]

Calling to God Almighty to preserve Egypt, its people and its leadership, and to make this great achievement a witness to the continuation of its mission to serve humanity and spread the values of beauty and science. And peace.
