The Palestinian President awards Aboul Gheit the Grand Sash of the Palestine Medal
The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, presented Ahmed Aboul Gheit with the Grand Sash of the Order of the State of Palestine, on the occasion of the near end of his duties as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
This honor comes in recognition of his distinguished diplomatic career and joint Arab action, and in appreciation of his efforts in defending the issues of his Arab nation, foremost among which is the Palestinian issue.
In turn, the Secretary-General Aboul Gheit thanked the Palestinian President. Mahmoud Abbas received this honor, considering it a source of pride and consolation for him, and for all Egyptian diplomats, and in the League of Arab States, praising the steadfastness and wisdom of the president and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
And on the Palestinian side were: Member of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization Ziad Abu Amr, Advisor to the President for Diplomatic Affairs Magdy, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt Diab Al-Louh, and Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk.
And for On the side of the League of Arab States, Assistant Secretaries-General, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, and Ambassador Faed Mustafa.
