Amr Moselhy, President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, praised the Grand Egyptian Museum, describing it as a global edifice on Egyptian soil that combines the ancient Egyptian civilization with the ability and vision of the modern state during the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Moselhy stressed that the Grand Egyptian Museum reflects the Egyptian state’s insistence on writing modern history with pride, and presenting its ancient past in a cultural image that keeps pace with global development.
He pointed out that this project comes An extension of a series of major achievements that Egypt has witnessed during the last ten years, such as the new administrative capital, the giant road network, and the development of ports on various Egyptian coasts.
He also added that the state paid great attention to land reclamation projects and infrastructure development in various sectors, which contributed to strengthening the fields of agriculture, tourism, sports, industry, and the economy, in a way that serves the Egyptian citizen in the first place.
Moselhi concluded his statements by stressing that the Grand Egyptian Museum will be an honorable showcase for Egypt to the world, and a tourist and cultural destination. It reflects Egypt’s historical and cultural status, noting that its opening will represent a proud moment for every Egyptian.
