Madbouly’s most prominent statements during the press conference for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, made television statements, today, in a press conference at the headquarters of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Before the start of the grand celebration for the official opening of the museum today, in the presence of all Najah’s partners in organizing the opening ceremony.
Madbouly’s most prominent statements were:
– I express my happiness and pride as an Egyptian citizen at the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
– The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum today is a unique and exceptional event.
– The opening of this global edifice is a gift to the whole world, from a country whose history goes back more than 7,000 years.
– Today represents a day of pride and honor for me as Prime Minister, and I witness this celebration with you.
– The idea of establishing the Great Egyptian Museum goes back about 30 years, when the preliminary procedures from the state began.
– Many technical studies were conducted, including an international competition to choose a specific design for the museum, and then the state began implementation steps.
– The construction of this project went through a period of cessation, as a result of the circumstances that Egypt went through starting in 2011, until President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the need to finish this project to the fullest extent, and in the best way that presents Egypt’s civilized face.
– The largest volume of construction, finishing, and projecting of this global edifice in this form occurred in the past seven or eight years.
– I extend my greetings to everyone who participated in this “global project”, starting with those who launched the idea, passing through everyone who participated in all the implementation steps, and ending with our celebration today.
– The Grand Egyptian Museum, which Egypt presents to the world as a symbol of the civilization of this ancient and great country, which witnessed a mixture of all civilizations that have passed through the history of mankind.
– I extend my thanks to the men of the national private sector who contributed with the state in implementing the opening ceremony tonight, and what they presented is considered a model of partnership between the government and the private sector to implement national projects. They are: Hisham Talaat Moustafa, Chairman of the Talaat Moustafa Development Group; Engineer/Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of Mansour Group and Man Capital Investment Company; Engineer Ahmed Ezz, Chairman of Ezz Steel Group, and Engineer Hassan Allam, responsible for Hassan Allam Holding Company; Mr. Mohamed Al-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Egypt, representing the alliance of participating banks at the ceremony, and Engineer / Khaled Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development.
– God willing, we will all be happy with the celebration tonight, and the joy of all Egyptians will be complete on this historic day.
