The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali, affirmed Egypt’s pride in its historical relations with Uzbekistan, praising the positive momentum witnessed in these relations.

This came during the Speaker of the House of Representatives’ reception at the Council’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Nurdin Ismailov, Speaker of the Legislative Council of the Parliament of Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali welcomed the Speaker of the Uzbek Legislative Council at the Council’s headquarters in the capital. The new administration is considered the most prominent Egyptian achievement in light of the unprecedented development boom that Egypt is witnessing, referring to Egypt’s long parliamentary history, which exceeds 150 years.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the Egyptian-Uzbek parliamentary relations, praising the joint coordination between the Egyptian and Uzbek parliaments before international and regional parliamentary forums.

During the meeting, Gebali discussed the role played by religious institutions in Egypt, and Its head is Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in combating extremist thought and attempts to link it to the Islamic religion.

For his part, the Speaker of the Uzbek Legislative Council expressed his great pride in attending the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which was a symbol of humanity. He congratulated the Egyptian people on this great achievement, describing Egypt as the cradle of civilizations and the development of humanity. He expressed the desire of the Parliament of Uzbekistan to strengthen parliamentary cooperation with the Egyptian Parliament in light of the ancient Egyptian parliamentary experiences. He also praised With Egyptian politics and the Egyptian role that always creates peace in an environment full of crises and conflicts.
