Emirates Airlines enhances its operations to Cairo and adds a fifth daily flight

Emirates Airlines, the largest international air carrier in the world, announced that it will enhance its service between Dubai and Cairo by operating six additional flights per week, starting from December 1, 2025, in response to the increasing demand during the winter season.
The new flights have been carefully scheduled to provide the best possible connection with the airline’s extensive global network of destinations.
Starting February 1, 2026, the service will increase to an additional daily flight with a new timing that complements the current four daily flight schedule, in a move that reflects Emirates Airlines’ confidence in the strength of the demand for travel to and from Egypt, whether for leisure or business purposes. The flights will be operated by Boeing 777 aircraft within a schedule designed to provide seamless connections with major destinations in the Far East such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and others, in addition to destinations in eastern and southern Africa such as Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa.
During the period from December 1, 2025 until January 31, 2026, flight “EK 929” will depart from Dubai Airport at 10:45, arriving in Cairo at 1:00, and the return flight “EK 930” will depart from Cairo Airport at 14:40, arriving in Dubai at 19:55 on all days of the week except Thursday. Starting February 1, 2026, the daily flight “EK 929” will depart from Dubai Airport at 04:00, arriving in Cairo at 6:15, and the return flight “EK 930” will depart from Cairo Airport at 08:00, arriving in Dubai at 13:15. (All times are in Dubai and Cairo local time).
Since joining Emirates’ global network, Egypt has been a strategic priority market for the carrier. Cairo is currently the city receiving the most Emirates A380 aircraft in the Middle East and North Africa region outside of Dubai, and with the start of operation of the fifth daily flight, it will also become the most served city within the Emirates network in Africa, in confirmation of the carrier’s continued commitment to the Egyptian market as it approaches celebrating the 40th anniversary of the launch of its operations to Cairo.
Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Operations Officer at Emirates Airlines, said: “Cairo is one of the region’s busiest destinations for passengers and air cargo, and has always been a pivotal destination for Emirates Airlines. The additional service will contribute to facilitating the movement of customers across our global network, and strengthening trade and tourism ties between Egypt, the UAE and the world. As we approach the 40th anniversary of the launch of our operations to Cairo, this new expansion embodies our firm commitment to the Egyptian market and the region. Our appreciation to the Egyptian authorities for their support in adopting this new flight, and we look forward to welcoming our customers on board our flights soon.”
Egypt has well-established bilateral relations with the UAE, extending to the fields of tourism, industry and trade, and including joint development projects in Cairo, the North Coast and other areas throughout the country. The additional flights will enhance the connection between the two countries, and increase the capacity of air freight to and from Egypt by up to 300 tons per week via Boeing 777 passenger aircraft. Emirates SkyCargo, the carrier’s cargo arm, transports major Egyptian products, including fresh fruits such as strawberries and vegetables, to multiple global markets, which supports the Egyptian economy and connects local companies with their customers around the world with high speed and efficiency.
Since launching its first flight to Cairo in 1986, Emirates Airlines has established itself as a long-term partner for the aviation, tourism and trade sectors in Egypt, as it has continued to expand its operations and increase its flights, and to date has transported more than 10 million passengers to and from the Egyptian market, with a strong contribution to the movement of passengers arriving from major markets such as China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and Australia.
