"Global health" Calls for bridging the health sector financing gap in Syria

The organization called Global Health aims to bridge the funding gap in the Syrian health sector amounting to 77 million US dollars for the current year 2025, warning of a serious funding gap that threatens the continuation of health services, as they move from emergency to recovery.
The organization explained that the decline in funding for health services has led to the suspension or reduction of services in 366 health facilities since the middle of this year, affecting 7.4 million people.
It indicated that 58% of hospitals and 23% of primary care centers in Syriais operating at full capacity, while needs are increasing due to drought, the spread of waterborne diseases, and power outages that threaten the operation of hospitals and cold chains.
