"Modern pentathlon" Participates in the Asian Championship qualifying for the Games
Dubai, 5 November / WAM / The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation announced the participation of our national team in the Asian Championship qualifying competitions for the 2025 Asian Games, hosted by the Japanese city of Anjo during the period from 9 to 16 November, with the participation of an elite group of continental teams.
The team is represented in the tournament by players Abdullah Mohammed Abdul Rahman and Ahmed Mohammed Al Jabri, under the supervision of coach Abdullah Rashid Al-Eidi, while the delegation is headed by Dr. Hoda Abdul Rahman Al Matroushi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Modern Pentathlon Federation, accompanied by Waddah Al Harithi, a member of the Board of Directors.
The national team delegation will leave for Japan next Monday, in preparation for participating in this continental competition, which is a major milestone in the journey to qualify for the next Asian Games.
Dr. Hoda Al Matroushi confirmed that participation in the tournament comes within the Federation’s plan to develop the performance of the national team and enhance the experiences of its players on the international scene, noting that it aspires to provide an honorable performance that reflects the development of the modern pentathlon sport in the UAE.
On a related level, 25 referees passed the local referee course for citizens organized by the Modern Pentathlon Union at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee in Dubai, as part of its efforts to qualify national cadres and enhance their presence in the local and international arbitration corps.
Al Matroushi praised the level of interaction and commitment shown by the participants, stressing that organizing such training programs constitutes an essential pillar of the Federation’s strategy to build a qualified generation of national referees capable of representing the UAE in various tournaments.
