Minister of Defense: Peace is Egypt’s strategic choice, and it must have a force to protect it, and we are ready to confront national security challenges
Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, witnessed the war inspection procedures and raising the combat efficiency of one of the formations of the Central Military Region after developing and modernizing it in accordance with the latest combat systems, in the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, a number of commanders of the armed forces, and a number of Egyptian university students.
The procedures began with a speech by Major General Ah Abdel Muti Abdel Aziz Allam, Commander of the Central Military Region, during which he thanked the General Command of the Armed Forces for its unlimited support and permanent and continuous follow-up of all actions and activities carried out by units and formations, stressing that the men of the region will always remain at the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness, ready to supply the soil of Egypt, no matter what sacrifices it may cost them.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces listened to guidance on the conditions of the forces lined up for various weapons and specializations within the alignment area. He also watched the passage of weapons and equipment from the main branches and various bodies and specialized departments of the Armed Forces participating in the inspection, which showed the extent of the breakthrough the Armed Forces had reached in the field of armament development in accordance with the latest international systems, which placed it among the highest classifications of armies in the world. The Air Force also carried out an air show that demonstrated the high professionalism and ability of the pilots. To carry out all the tasks assigned to them in record times.
The Minister of Defense and Military Production visited the lined up forces to check on their readiness, and also discussed with a number of fighters how to carry out their tasks.
During his speech, Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the men of the Central Military Region, praising the serious preparation and high morale of the elements participating in the inspection and their insistence on fulfilling the tasks and duties assigned to them to protect the nation and preserve the capabilities of its great people.
He stressed that Egypt has chosen the path of peace and made it its first strategic choice out of its belief that it is the ideal path to building, reconstruction and stability that all peoples seek, and that this peace, which we have chosen of our own will, must have a force that protects and preserves it, indicating that the armed forces have witnessed successive leaps to develop training and armament systems in all major branches, formations and units to support their combat capabilities according to precise scientific foundations that have enabled them to possess all Deterrence options to be fully prepared to confront challenges that may target Egypt’s national security on all strategic directions.
At the conclusion of the activities, a number of Egyptian university students passed by the lined up forces to learn about the advanced capabilities and capabilities possessed by the armed forces, expressing their happiness and pride in their armed forces and their reaching this high level of armament and training.
