In the second episode "Cumshot" .. Al-Mutairi and Al-Shammari qualified by the committee’s decision, and 4 poets awaited the public’s vote
Abu Dhabi, 5 November / WAM / The “Million Poet” program jury, consisting of Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al Hassan, and Hamad Al Saeed, announced that poets Mohammed Al Mutairi from the State of Kuwait, with a score of 48, and Alwan Al Shammari, from Iraq, with a score of 47, qualified for the next stage, at the conclusion of the second live episode of the twelfth season.
While the poets: Abdul Rahman Al-Qaws (Saudi Arabia), Hamoud Al-Mukhaini (Sultanate of Oman), Khaled Al-Tamimi (Saudi Arabia), and Abdul-Aziz Al-Sharari (Saudi Arabia) await the results of the public vote through the program application this week, so that one of them will qualify and the contract of the finalists for the episode will be completed.
The episode, which was broadcast yesterday evening (Tuesday) from Al Raha Beach Theater in Abu Dhabi, began with the announcement of the poet Sahoud Zaid Radyan from the State of Kuwait qualifying for the previous episode, after obtaining 76 degrees according to the total score of the committee and the public vote.
The program, presented by media figures Faisal Al Jassim and Salama Al Muhairi, is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority under the slogan “Our Poem is One,” as part of its strategy to preserve heritage and promote interest in literature and poetry.
The evening was witnessed by His Excellency Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, Executive Director of the Heritage Awareness and Knowledge Sector at the Authority, and His Excellency Mohammed Jumaa Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, along with members of the program’s advisory committee, Turki Al Muraikhi and Badr Safouq, and a group of media figures and Nabati poetry lovers.
The episode included a heritage segment that included poems from the art of Al-Taghrooda and Al-Wana, from the masterpieces of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, performed by the artists Salem bin Kadah Al Rashidi and Mohammed bin Aziz Al Shehhi.
