Launching the “Emirates Unified Numbers” platform

As part of the annual meetings of the UAE Government 2025, the UAE government launched the “Emirates Unified Numbers” platform, the comprehensive national platform for data and statistics supported by artificial intelligence, with the aim of providing accurate, real-time and reliable data that supports decision-making and enhances the country’s readiness for future changes.
The platform is being developed in partnership between the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics and the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and in coordination with the federal and local authorities concerned with the national data and statistics system, and hosting the platform through the federal network of the UAE government to ensure the highest levels of safety and protection.
This platform is the culmination of the outcomes of the Economic Data Retreat and its expanded dialogues, which discussed aspects of strengthening the national statistical system, its governance standards, and mechanisms for exchanging information between government agencies, with the aim of supporting the efficiency of using national data in decision-making, and supporting the acceleration of the adoption of artificial intelligence techniques in planning and formulating public policies. The platform will contribute to building a unified and smart national statistical system, which will enhance the quality and reliability of national data and enable the shift towards smart statistics in the UAE.
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, said: “Today we are moving from the data collection stage to the knowledge management stage, and from traditional statistics to smart statistics, and the Emirates Unified Numbers platform embodies this important strategic shift. It is not just a technical project, but rather a national system that opens new horizons for decision makers to employ data in the service of development, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy and the country’s position globally.”
He added: “The platform reflects the maturity of the statistical system in the UAE and its ability to provide accurate, reliable and real-time data that contributes to reading economic trends, directing policies and investments, and enhancing the country’s ability to respond to global changes and anticipate the future of vital sectors.”
Minister of State, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, and General Supervisor of the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, said: “The launch of the “Emirates Unified Numbers” platform translates the vision of the wise leadership in building a future government based on data and artificial intelligence. The platform represents a qualitative leap in the process of government digital transformation, working as one team at the national level, and enhancing the ability of various government agencies to make accurate and rapid decisions based on reliable and updated data, through a pioneering model of smart statistics that reflects the reality of the UAE accurately, comprehensively and reliably.
She added: “This platform establishes a smart national statistical structure capable of supporting public policies, enhancing the country’s competitiveness, accelerating economic growth in various sectors, supporting the achievement of integration between federal and local agencies, unifying data sources, and activating flexible governance that responds to the challenges of the digital age.”
She pointed out that the system is the culmination of the outcomes of the economic data retreat, which brought together the efforts of 28 national entities that participated in the first phase, and contributed to national integration in building 380 economic indicators and establishing a unified framework for data on domestic product, balance of payments and investment.
She stressed the importance of the role of data in formulating policies, setting priorities, measuring impact, and monitoring performance, and through the unified Emirates Numbers platform, we ensure that the decisions of all government agencies are supported by accurate, up-to-date, reliable data, and amenable to intelligent analysis, which contributes to enhancing the country’s comprehensive readiness to adopt artificial intelligence technologies, achieving integration between national databases, and providing a flexible environment that supports innovation and sustainability.”
The launch of the “Emirates Unified Numbers” platform represents the first step in an ambitious journey towards a comprehensive national data system, covering all economic, social, environmental, educational and health fields in the future, to provide the world with a pioneering model in smart statistics and rapid data, which reflects the reality of the Emirates in a comprehensive and reliable manner, and will allow analyzing economic and social trends more accurately, directing resources more efficiently, and will also contribute to enhancing transparency, improving the quality of government services, and providing a supportive environment for innovation in public policies.
The launch of this platform confirms the UAE’s leadership in developing government work and its directions to consolidate its advanced position globally among smart governments, in addition to adopting smart governance and building a strong foundation for managing national data, which supports the development vision and raises the efficiency of development planning at the federal and local levels, and enhances the ability to shape the future with confidence and efficiency.
