It is noteworthy that on November 21, 2024, the First Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court issued two arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant on charges of “committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported: The court rejected the petitions submitted by Israel earlier in this regard and issued two arrest warrants against Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who was dismissed by Netanyahu from his position.
The crimes attributed to Netanyahu and Gallant include “using starvation as a weapon of war.” And "murder and persecution" And “inhumane acts.”
This means that Netanyahu and Gallant will not be able from now on to visit the 120 countries that signed the “Treaty of Rome.” On which the court relies in implementing its decisions.
These memos come after the request of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, in mid-September to accelerate the issuance of arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant. At that time, Khan explained that he was under pressure from some world leaders not to issue an arrest warrant.
