A fiery summit between Manchester City and Liverpool tomorrow

Manchester City, led by Norwegian giant Erling Haaland, will host its rival Liverpool and its Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, tomorrow (20:30 UAE time), within the 11th stage, in the latest chapter of the fierce rivalry that has dominated the English Premier League for nearly a decade, but this time both clubs are trying to narrow the gap from the “leading” Arsenal.
The Gunners team, which is six points behind City (second) and seven points behind Liverpool (third and defending champion), hopes to take advantage of the top of its pursuers to move further ahead when it visits Sunderland, who recently returned to the top flight and surprised the season by occupying fourth place on goal difference behind Liverpool and with the same difference in front of Bournemouth (fifth).
But a win for either Manchester City or Liverpool will give a morale boost as they seek to get closer to Spanish coach Mikel Arteta’s men, or at least maintain the gap between them.
