Local plants

The program explained that the local plants in the Riyadh region are spread in many different environments, such as rawdas, valleys, sand dunes, depressions, coasts, reefs, plains, mountains, plateaus, marshes, salt sand deserts, Al-Nafud, Al-Dahna, and sandy environments, And the environment of the Empty Quarter.

He reviewed the most prominent categories of local plants in Riyadh, and the environments suitable for their cultivation, in addition to their categories and the species to which they belong. The ladder plant is one of the small and widespread trees. It is grown in many different environments, such as rawda, sand dunes, and coasts, and it belongs to the legume family.

This family also includes about 12 species of Local plants in the region, such as the Najdi acacia tree, which is widespread in the valleys, valleys, and rawdahs, and the perennial Alal tree, which is limited in spread, and the red ghaf tree, which is limited in spread in the lowlands, and the Sial, Umm Ghaylan, and Samar trees, which are widespread, and the perennial Ashrak shrub, which is widespread in the mountains, valleys, and sand plains, and the two Shahba shrubs, and Lal-Qus-Ashdid, Their spread is limited.

The National Afforestation Program indicated that the Kabara family includes 4 types of local plants, including: the tandhabah, which is a small and perennial shrub that spreads in rawdahs and valleys, and the widespread Sarh shrub, in addition to the Asif-Shafallah, which is a perennial shrub that spreads in the mountains, depressions, and rawdahs, and the kadhaba shrub, which is perennial and limited. Distribution.

In addition to the Amaranthaceae family, which includes 7 species of plants, including: Al-Sha’ran, Al-Ruth, which is a perennial tree widespread in the valleys, and Al-Ramth; They are perennial shrubs widespread in valleys, rawdas, and sandy plains.

In addition to many diverse species of local plants, such as Apiaceae, Oleander, Compositae, Mahmoudia, Lamiaceae, Rhubarb, Balihawi, Sidriya, Arakia, Hogonia, Solanaceae, Tarfaya, Tartaria, Narcissus, Mustard, and Alandia. And a group of local plants belong to these families, the most prominent of which are iris, wormwood, alarfaj, qardi, arak, wild leeks, wild iris, thumam, and sorrel.
