The Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
Dr. received Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, today, Saturday, Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, within the framework of periodic coordination between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Petroleum. Which presents investment opportunities available in the fields of research and production of oil and gas.
Minister Abdel-Aty stressed during the meeting the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of energy with countries in the region, which contributes to consolidating Egypt’s position as a regional center for energy trading and trade and benefiting from its infrastructure. He also pointed out the importance of exchanging experiences with energy-producing countries in the fields of production and extraction, and focusing on employing modern technology to explore and exploit natural resources in a way that contributes to attracting foreign investments, stressing that Egypt possesses the elements that qualify it to achieve a strong start in this vital sector.
For his part, Engineer Karim Badawi reviewed the latest developments in existing projects between Egypt and the countries of the region to connect gas fields to Egyptian facilities and enhance energy security, praising the success of regional partnership models in the field of natural gas, especially in light of what it possesses. Egypt has an advanced infrastructure that includes gas liquefaction stations and transportation networks, allowing for the achievement of regional economic integration.
The Minister of Petroleum also stressed the importance of highlighting the efficiency and excellence of Egyptian petroleum companies and projects and their ability to implement major projects outside the country, through coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to open new opportunities in regional and global markets, especially since it has a proven track record in many markets.
