The Egyptian community in Jordan finishes voting in the first stage of the House of Representatives elections
The voting process for members of the Egyptian community in the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections ended at exactly nine o’clock this Saturday evening, Jordanian local time.
As soon as the polls closed, the members of the committee supervising the electoral process began the work of sorting and counting those who cast their votes, the number of valid and invalid votes, and the number of valid votes obtained by each candidate in the elections, whether lists or individuals, and proving this in a signed report. After the completion of counting and counting the votes, it is scheduled to send the election papers, the list of voters, the minutes, and any appeals that may be submitted, to the National Elections Authority, according to the established procedures.
Ambassador Khaled Al-Abyad, the Egyptian ambassador to Jordan, praised the active participation of the Egyptian community, which reflects the attachment of Egyptians abroad to their homeland and their keenness to contribute to the process of its democratic construction.
He expressed his thanks to the authorities. Jordan, which provided all facilities in securing the electoral process for Egyptian citizens residing in the Kingdom.
The National Elections Authority had announced the timetable for the 2025 House of Representatives elections, both at home and abroad in two phases, the first of which in 14 governorates, and the second in 13 governorates.
The elections will be held abroad on November 7 and 8, 2025, and at home on November 10 and 11, with the official result being announced on the day November 18, with the runoff being held abroad on December 1 and 2, and at home on December 3 and 4, and the runoff result announced on December 11.
For the second phase, the elections will be held abroad on November 21 and 22, and at home on November 24 and 25, with the result for the second phase being announced on December 2, and the runoff round will be held abroad on December 15 and 16, and at home on December 17 and 18, with the result being announced on Next December 25.
