"Sahar Al-Sunbati" Celebrating childhood holidays among 30 child ambassadors in North Sinai

The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood continues its celebrations of childhood holidays from North Sinai Governorate, and within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to support the children of Egypt in all governorates, especially the border governorates, and to organize trips for young people, to introduce them to the history and sacrifices of the great Egyptian people in order to preserve the stability and security of the homeland.
During the visit conducted by Dr. Sahar El-Sunbati, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, to North Sinai Governorate, she was accompanied by A delegation of 30 children, both male and female, from the Council’s childhood ambassadors, with the participation of the Palestinian girl Retaj Jeha as guest of honor and the Council’s newest ambassador.
The visit comes within the framework of the Council’s celebrations of childhood holidays, during the month of November, and included a number of events and field visits in the governorate, which began with a meeting with Major General Khaled Mujawar, Governor of North Sinai, and then a visit to Al-Arish General Hospital, to check on Palestinian children injured as a result of the attacks on the Gaza Strip. Gaza, in addition to visiting the Sinai Heritage Museum and Sinai University, and offering gifts to children in the care home of the Obour Open Care Association.
During her meeting with the Governor of North Sinai, Dr. Sahar El-Sunbati affirmed the Council’s keenness to support the children of Egypt, especially in the border governorates, praising the fruitful cooperation between the Council and the Governorate in implementing programs to protect and empower children.
For his part, the Governor of North Sinai appreciated the visit of the Council delegation, stressing the vital role that the Council plays in protecting children. From all forms of violence, empowering girls and supporting the Egyptian family.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hiam Nazif, Vice President of the Council, writer Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat, children’s literature writer, Dr. Hanaa Al-Sayed, Director of the Council’s Girls’ Health Program, Nasser Muslim, Council Advisor, Mona Mustafa, Director General of Documentation, and Engineer Laila Al-Murtaji, General Supervisor of the Council’s branch in Al-Arish.
During her visit to Al-Arish General Hospital, Dr. Sahar praised Al-Sunbati praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Health and Population and the medical and administrative teams in providing integrated health care to Egyptian and Palestinian citizens, especially injured children, as the President of the Council and the Childhood Ambassadors presented gifts to the Palestinian children to provide them with psychological support and bring joy to their souls.
Al-Sunbati also visited "Sunbati" The delegation was welcomed by Sawsan Hijab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sinai Women’s Rights Association, and Ibrahim Salem, Executive Director of the Museum.
At Sinai University, Dr. Jihan Fikry, President of the University, presented the university’s shield to Dr. Sahar El-Sunbati; In appreciation of her efforts in strengthening national efforts to support Egyptian children and families, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President of the University.
Writer Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat also gave a symposium at the Faculty of Dentistry on the importance of children’s literature and its role in developing cultural awareness.
On the sidelines of the visit, an introductory symposium was held on the role of the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai, and the efforts made to receive humanitarian and relief aid and send it to the sector.
