Health: Specialized medical councils obtain international accreditation for the quality management system "ISO"

 

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that the General Administration of Specialized Medical Councils obtained the international accreditation certificate, ISO 9001:2015, thus becoming the first department in the Ministry to achieve this global distinction in quality management systems.

 

This achievement comes as an expression of the Egyptian state’s commitment to applying the highest standards of quality and governance in the provision of health services, and a confirmation that institutional development has become a tangible reality that reflects positively. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that obtaining this certificate by the specialized medical councils represents a qualitative leap in the process of developing the Egyptian health sector, noting that the Ministry is moving steadily towards achieving the state’s vision of building an integrated health system based on quality, governance and transparency, with the aim of improving the health services provided to citizens.

 

He added "Abdul Ghaffar" This achievement embodies the state’s vision of developing health services on modern scientific and methodological foundations, and reflects the commitment of the specialized medical councils to apply quality and governance standards in all services provided, according to an institutional culture that aims to provide health service with global standards, ensuring progress towards institutional excellence and sustainability, stressing that the institutional governance approach has become an integral part of the work culture within the ministry, ensuring the sustainability of development and raising the efficiency of performance and quality of health services provided to the citizen.

 

For his part, he stressed Dr. Mohamed Akkad, Director General of the General Administration of Specialized Medical Councils, said that the administration’s obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certificate is the culmination of efforts to implement the principles of good governance within the work system, by enhancing transparency and accountability, and unifying procedures in accordance with international quality standards, indicating that the administration’s success in adopting the quality system came as a result of organized and integrated work, which included:

 

•identifying the gaps between the current situation and the requirements of the standard. International.

 

•Developing policies and procedures and identifying risks and opportunities.

 

•Preparing employee job descriptions and workflow charts.

 

•Unifying operational models.
